CONTEXT
DJ Danny, a college DJ from Wilmington, NC, is making waves in the local nightlife scene. Playing at some of the top clubs like Varnish, Reel Café, Palm Room, and 22 North, his open-format style blends pop, house, and unexpected genre clashes, creating energetic and unique sets. With Wilmington’s coastal vibe, he wanted his logo to reflect a fusion of modern sharpness and tropical beach culture.
SOLUTION
The DJ Danny logo encapsulates the energy and creativity of his performances, featuring bold, all-caps typography that’s both modern and sharp. Inspired by Wilmington’s surf culture, the logo includes a hidden surfboard silhouette in the center. Alongside the logo, I created a vibrant merchandise illustration that enhances DJ Danny’s brand identity. This cohesive design is versatile for use across promotional materials, social media, and live multimedia formats, giving his brand a dynamic and tropical edge.
